Chapter 01
Before you book a wax
Waxing at Avenue Apothecary & Spa in Rehoboth Beach starts with one measurement: hair growth must be a minimum of 1/4 inch and a maximum of 1/2 inch long. Either allow time for enough growth or trim the area to the proper length before you schedule your appointment.
Waxing cannot be performed on clients using Retin-A or Accutane, or any antibiotics, because those medications make the skin sensitive. A 24 hour period is recommended before and after waxing for sun or tanning booth exposure, as your skin may still be experiencing sensitivities.

Booking, arriving and changing a plan
We recommend scheduling a minimum of two weeks in advance for the widest selection of appointment times, though we will do our best to fit you in at any time. If it is your first time waxing, the spa has a First Time Waxing Information sheet; ask for it when you call or text 302-227-5649.
Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your service so you can check in and find parking, and note that your service will need to end on time regardless of when you arrived. Individual services need 48 hours notice to change or cancel, or a cancellation fee of 50% of the booked services applies. Spa packages and groups need 24 hours notice per person.
